Meet the rest of our board members…
She is responsible for leading & managing the DSNI’s performance sport programmes which are designed to enable and support disabled athletes to achieve higher levels of performance in their sport.
DSNI acts as the development agency for the sports of Boccia and Wheelchair Basketball and Rhian manages the performance team to continuously develop and deliver these sports. She works closely with various governing bodies across the sporting landscape in Northern Ireland to support them in ensuring they have accessible and inclusive pathways for all athletes.
Rhian has been working within the disability sector since 2016 in various roles within Activity Alliance in England and Active Disability Ireland in the Republic.
Outside of work, Rhian has represented and captained Northern Ireland in volleyball, both indoors and on the beach. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, either walking her dog Margo or going for a cold water dip in the Atlantic Ocean.
