Meet the rest of our board members…

Charlie is currently the Women’s and Sevens Performance Manager at the Rugby Football Union, tasked with overseeing the success pillar of the RFU’s women’s and girls action plan, as well as leading the strategy and delivery of the England 7s men’s and women’s programme.

Charlie played rugby professionally for more than 10 years at clubs including Wasps, Worcester, Moseley, and Nottingham. In 2014, he joined the England 7s programme and played in 30 World Series events, as well as being involved in the Glasgow & Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, and the Rio Olympics.

Following his playing career, Charlie took over as Head Coach for the women’s 7s team in 2019.

In 2021, he was appointed as Team Leader and assistant coach for the Great Britain 7s teams that competed at the Tokyo Olympics and 2021 World Series.

Outside of work, Charlie has two young daughters and enjoys being outside or watching sport whenever he has the opportunity.
