After 5 gruelling matches David Smith is through to the final of the BC1 Individual competition and GB Boccia have a guaranteed medal.

The opponent will be Daniel Perez of the Netherlands. Smith and Perez have met several times over the last few years and a good natured rivalry has developed

For the second time today Smithy had to come from behind in the final end. It was three points in the final end to earn a tie break against Tadtong in the quarter final but here Smith took four points from Kim of Korea to win 5-3 having been 1-3 down.
